Overview
The Abandoned Sewer Network (not to be confused with the regular Sewer Network) is a Trial zone in CoH. Entrances to the Abandoned Sewer Network are found by looking directly to your right immediately after entering the regular Sewer Network in any neighborhood. Prior to Issue 16, a hero needed to be at least Security Level 36 to enter.
The Abandoned Sewer Network is deeper than the depths of the Paragon City sewer network. Many of the Rikti fled here when their invasion was repelled, and took up residence in the safe but smelly haven of the old pipes and waterways. They are not alone down there, however. The Circle of Thorns mages see the unused sewers as a wonderful place to avoid interference from the above world, so they can continue their studies in peace.
In addition to the wizards, the big brothers of the Perez Park Hydra can be found here. There is a rumor that at the deepest level of the sewers lies a great beast of some kind, but no one that has ever searched for it is known to have returned.
