Badge croatoa cap buster.png

Description

You have shown the Red Caps you are not to be toyed with.

How to Get

Defeat 333 Red Caps. This can easily be done in Croatoa for heroes. It was possible for Villains to get this badge by killing Red Caps on the mission from DJ Zero during the Valentine's Day Event 2006.

Hero Accolade

This badge is required to unlock the Geas of the Kind Ones Badge accolade.

Notes

It is still technically possible for villains to get this badge, as the mission on which it can be farmed was not removed from the game when the Valentine's Day Event 2006 ended. So, if a player can be found who still has unrun instances of the appropriate mission leftover from the event, the badge can be earned.

The key for earning this badge for villains has to do with the fact that the devs tried to prevent villains from earning it, but forgot one element of the Red Caps powers. The villains in the Snaptooth mission are listed as belonging to the RedCap faction (no space). They do not count. Only villains in the Red Cap (with space) faction count for the badge.

But one of the abilities that some Red Caps have is that, when badly injured, they respawn themselves as an upgraded version. Minions respawn as Lieutenants, and Lieutenants respawn as Bosses. In the Snaptooth mission, when one of the RedCaps respawns themselves, the new version belongs to the original Red Cap faction, and will count for the badge when defeated. So, to earn the badge, 333 RedCaps must be induced to respawn into Red Caps.
