Contact Introduced By

New Contact(s)

I've been asked to introduce you to Lt. Gosford from the Paragon City Police Department. He runs a special unit that is focused on bringing down the Sky Raiders and the Council. Gosford's connections within the department give him access to Training Enhancements.

Gosford is used to working with heroes. You will get along fine.

Claire Childress is as much a part of the spirit world as our own. Some say she's flighty, but there are few in Paragon City who can provide more aid to one who seeks to battle the Freakshow or the Family. Claire has access to Training Enhancements.

Listen closely to her words; they may contain more information than you realize.

Information

Occultist

Oliver Haak styles himself an occultist, and he's a bit of a mystery to the heroes he works with. Some say he possesses magical abilities, while others believe his only power is a vast knowledge of magical lore. He seems to have some intuitive grasp of mystical matters, yet he never seems to spend any time studying ancient books or delving through forgotten libraries. There are those who speculate that Oliver is actually a helpful spirit in human guise. Others maintain that he's channeling the spirits of the world's greatest wise men. The one thing that everyone agrees upon is that he's very happy to share his knowledge with heroes he deems worthy of his attention.

Find Suzanne Trent

Briefing

In the wake of the Rikti War, there's been a resurgence of all kinds of mysticism. This has helped in some cases, even providing the city with new hope. But it has also caused a great deal of trouble. One new cult calls itself the Banished Pantheon. They have some sort of dark power; they can animate the dead and call spirits from beyond the grave! A reporter named Suzanne Trent was investigating them, but now she's gone missing. Please find Suzanne Trent as soon as possible.

The creatures we have seen the most frequently have been dubbed Husks; they seem to made from the animated bodies of the dead.

Mission Objective(s)

Somewhere below, a woman's terrified screams echo in the darkness.

  • Find Suzanne Trent

Debriefing

According to Suzanne Trent, the Banished Pantheon is investigating all beings of power. I must say, that phrase has an ominous ring to it. Depending on the definition, it could include heroes like yourself.

Go see Stephanie Peebles

Have you ever been to Striga Isle, Character? There's a woman there named Stephanie Peebles who needs our help. She's got all she can do trying to hold Port Noble together against the onslaught of the Council. Will you take this package over to Stephanie? I'd appreciate it if you didn't look inside. Oh, you might want to take some friends. It can get pretty dicey over there.

The Council has managed to entrench itself on Striga Isle but good. If you can give Stephanie any assistance against them, I'm sure she'll be grateful. Of course, I hope you won't forget about your old friends here in Paragon City. We'll always be grateful for your help, too.

Here's the package. It's for Stephanie's eyes only.

Stephanie Peebles: " Thanks for the package, Character; I'm grateful. So, what do you think of Port Noble? Doesn't look like much, maybe? Well, it's my home. I've been doing what I can to kick those Council goons out, but I need more help. I'd appreciate it if you could stick around. Otherwise, you can keep following leads from your other contacts. I'll always be here, and I'll always be grateful for assistance.

note: Stephanie Peebles will provide missions after talking to her. There was no experience or like reward for this mission.

Clear the Banished Pantheon out of Dark Astoria

Though no one lives in Dark Astoria any more, there are still reports coming in from the few brave souls who are willing to venture into that haunted place. One of the more disturbing reports is that much of the zone is now overrun with walking dead controlled by the Banished Pantheon. If the city is ever to retake Dark Astoria, we'll need heroes like you to clear the Banished Pantheon out. Raimi Arcade and Toffet Terrace are completely overrun, though I think you can find cultists in any section of the zone.

Be cautious, Character. Dark Astoria is a dangerous place. I'd recommend taking allies with you when you venture there.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Pantheon in Dark Astoria
    • Defeat 20 Banished Pantheon

You have decreased the number of Banished Pantheon cultists in Dark Astoria.

Debriefing

It may take years to get the Pantheon out of Dark Astoria, but with heroes like you on the case, it'll happen someday.

Combat the Cirle of Thorns in Talos Island

I've heard from friends all around Talos Island that the Circle of Thorns have been seen in greater numbers there recently. They've asked me to speak with heroes such as yourself to see if any are willing to combat the Circle of Thorns in Talos Island. From what they tell me, New Troy and Ithaca Island have seen a large increase in the Circle's numbers, but any part of the zone would welcome your presence.

The people of Talos Island are worried, Character. Hopefully your presence should calm them greatly.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Defeat Circle in Talos Island
    • Defeat 20 Circle Of Thorns

You have ensured the safety of Talos Island.

Debriefing:

The Circle of Thorns is always trying to plot against the people of Paragon City. It is fortunate that we are blessed by vigilant guardians such as you, Character.

Recover the armor from the museum

There's been a break-in at the Paragon City Museum of History. The thieves made off with a large portion of the exhibit on the Spanish conquest of the new world. The centerpiece of the collection was the Armadura del Sol, a set of conquistador's armor said to be enchanted with the power of the sun. It has no magical powers now, but it's said that a mage could learn much from studying the armor. For this reason, I suspect the Circle of Thorns are behind the theft. Will you recover the armor from the Circle?

The Armadura del Sol is composed of six pieces. You'll have to find and recover all of them to make sure the Circle's mystics can learn nothing from it.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Defeat lead mystic and his crew
    • 6 pieces of armor to recover

You have found all the pieces of the Armadura del Sol.

Unnecessary solicitation: Find that mystical armor as soon as you can. I'm getting rather worried about what the Circle's mystics may learn from it.

Notable NPC:

Alejasm CoT Ruin mage In ancient times, the Masters of Ruin could level whole cities with their powerful earthquake magic. Today these masters of mayhem are still deadly foes, capable of summoning localized tremors that cause great devastation in a short time.

[NPC] Alejas: These magics of the Armadura are known to us. But they have been distorted somewhat.
[NPC] Alejas: Did you come for the Armadura, Resonance Void? You will pay for your foolish interference!

You have found all the pieces of the Armadura del Sol

debriefing:

Recovering the Armadura del Sol will have ramifications far beyond these city walls, Resonance Void. You did the world a service today. The Armadura del Sol was said to have once been powerful enough to level a city. If the Circle truly understood its power, they must be a more fearsome foe than we had guessed!
