: It's been a while. They had the 5-14 missions in SCoRE, and possibly on live. I don't think that's something SCoRE would've changed, so I would bet they were 5-14 all along and nobody noticed. Kai Moon (talk) 09:08, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

Epic Pools
Hey Kai, saw you're working on the renamed epic pages and wanted to point out that the precedent for epics pools which share a name across multiple ATs has always been to have one page for all archetypes, with different power tables as needed. I checked in with a couple other editors and no one seems to have a strong preference whether we split up all epics to per-archetype pages or combine all same-name epics to single pages, but we should make them all consistent one way or the other. My thoughts are that combining them matches the way we handle primary and secondary set pages so it's more intuitive, but I'm open to discuss it if you want to.
In the vein of discussion, Michiyo has a Discord for the wikis if you'd like to chat in real time. I can DM you the invite link on the Homecoming forums or on Discord as @Draeth if you'd like? -Draeth Darkstar (talk) 01:50, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
: Having different powersets with the same name combined on the same page seems fine, if the powersets have a lot of overlap. But that's not the case with the epic pools. Combining them would result in pages like the patron power pools. I never read those pages. I'm only ever looking for information relevant to one archetype, so the patron pool pages have about 80% irrelevant information, and it's easier to get the information from another site. ::Pros and cons - splitting them presents less potentially unnecessary information per page, but makes searching for the correct page and comparing archetypes harder, and adds more pages with some duplicate information to maintain. Combining presents more information than is probably needed in an average case and may be more visually confusing. If no one else wants to weigh in, I'm fine either way as long as they're consistent. -Draeth Darkstar (talk) 02:37, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
Put some further thought into this and had an idea that I think solves both our concerns. As a proof of concept, I moved the bulk of the content from Ice Mastery (Brute/Tanker) to Ice Mastery and then transcluded it back onto the (Brute/Tanker) page. This lets us have both a complete and a specific version of the epic pages without having to maintain two full copies of the content. Let me know if this works for you! -Draeth Darkstar (talk) 21:22, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

It's been a while.

Having different powersets with the same name combined on the same page seems fine, if the powersets have a lot of overlap. But that's not the case with the epic pools. Combining them would result in pages like the patron power pools. I never read those pages. I'm only ever looking for information relevant to one archetype, so the patron pool pages have about 80% irrelevant information, and it's easier to get the information from another site. Pros and cons - splitting them presents less potentially unnecessary information per page, but makes searching for the correct page and comparing archetypes harder, and adds more pages with some duplicate information to maintain. Combining presents more information than is probably needed in an average case and may be more visually confusing.
