Thanks; good catch

How did I forget to sign that? Anyway, curses, I missed that explore badges are in the infobox. Off to look at my contribs... Thunderforce (talk) 10:09, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Hehe! Those damn badges are never ending! --Aberrant (talk) 10:37, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

They really are! I just happened to notice the missing exploration badges in the infobox when I was adding the MoreMaps4U maps, which led me to the 'Time spent in zone' badges which was a major rabbit hole that even led me to updating several badges in the Badger database. And then I remembered to check the 'What links here' page which was another rabbit hole in itself. --AboveTheChemist (talk) 14:09, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand in what sense Overleveled Badge "was formerly the Trustworthy badge". I mean, the 3-month Vet badge was "Trustworthy", but there never was a point where you could get Trustworthy for doing XYZ and then could get Overleveled for doing the same XYZ (was there?) Thunderforce (talk) 16:36, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

It is mentioned in the consolidated i25 patch notes (https://docs.google.com/document/d/11cLJiSYlfueJheOumRywG8Evip2Mjmu_30Y6ePaetqY) on page 14. Based on that info, there were 6 badges that I assume existed under duplicate names for a time, and when this was discovered, they renamed the ones that shared a name with another badge. It seems clear from those notes that at the point where the badges were renamed, the 'Trustworthy' badge had already been repurposed to a vet level badge, which is why I noted that 'Overleveled' was formerly 'Trustworthy'. --AboveTheChemist (talk) 17:13, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
I see. I think what you have now is an improvement.
I notice you're moving a bunch of badges - to make room for creating all the vet level badges? Excellent if so. I'm going to be a while working through all the explores - it's a bit soul-destroying to do more than a couple of zonesworth in a day. Thunderforce (talk) 17:52, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Yep I am making room for the vet level badges (and anything else that happened to be repurposed from those rewards program badges). Since you started the ball rolling by creating the (Rewards Program) designation, I thought I would go ahead and 'retire' all those badges there so they would be preserved. I was a little afraid that if I didn't go ahead and do that, someone else might come along and overwrite them with the veteran level badge info. Now at least the redirect pages that are created during the move will serve as a clean slate into which to paste the template and create the rest of the veteran level badges. --AboveTheChemist (talk) 18:04, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Well, nothing is permanently lost unless an admin deletes it (and even then it's only lost to non-admins) - even if that did happen, you could pull the old state of a page out of the history and use it to set up a new page for the old badge. Perhaps this is me being Captain Obvious.
I admit I might be that someone; I'm fairly cavalier about the pre-Homecoming state of affairs. But partly I'm cavalier because I know the old stuff is still there if wanted. Thunderforce (talk) 18:56, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
No worries, I figured it could be re-created from the history but I also thought moving them now would be easier than trying to re-create them later! I am also trying not to worry too much about pre-Homecoming history, but I think there are some pages (like the Issues pages) where it makes sense to try to preserve a snapshot as long as it doesn't require a ton of effort. I felt like those rewards program badges fit that bill, too. It ended up creating a bunch of double redirects but that will be fixed when the redirect pages are replaced with the existing vet level badges. --AboveTheChemist (talk) 20:04, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Dupe Image?

Hello!

It looks like there are two images for the same thing, do you know which one is right? And if so, can the other one be deleted? The "WO" one is used on the Blistering Cold page and the "IO" is not used anywhere.

Thanks. — DocDolomite • Talk 05:55, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Yeah that was back when I mostly didn't know what I was doing, and there isn't even such a thing as an IO version of that. I've marked it for deletion, thanks for noticing it and letting me know! --AboveTheChemist (talk) 17:43, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

Absorb Proc

Thanks, good catch. Thunderforce (talk) 10:09, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
