Overview

Below is a list of key names for use in binds. Last verified July 2, 2023.

Note: The game can recognize many more keys than have been exposed for players to use. If you have a keyboard key that is not on this list, you may still be able to re-map it through the Keymapping tab in the Options window. Further, the game might interpret your unknown key as a different key name that can be used with binds, and the Keymapping tab may tell you this as well.

0-9 the numbers row near the top of the keyboard
F1-F15 "F keys" at the top of the keyboard (the F13-F15 keys are only on certain keyboards)

EQUALS the (=) and (+) key on the numbers row of the keyboard
TILDE the (`) and (~) key, on the numbers row of the keyboard

RWIN the right Windows logo key. Consider disabling the Start menu shortcut on this key in Windows.

LBUTTON LEFTCLICK = secondary name. left mouse button
RBUTTON RIGHTCLICK = secondary name. right mouse button
MBUTTON MIDDLECLICK = secondary name. middle mouse button (for some mice, the mouse wheel also acts as a middle button)

LEFTDOUBLECLICK Quickly clicking the left mouse button two times

MIDDLEDOUBLECLICK Quickly clicking the middle mouse button (often the mousewheel) two times
MOUSECHORD mouse chord key - both the left and right mouse buttons pressed at the same time
LEFTDRAG moving the mouse pointer across the screen in any direction while holding down the left mouse button
RIGHTDRAG moving the mouse pointer across the screen in any direction while holding down the right mouse button. Any bind on RIGHTDRAG will have a conflict unless the "+mouse_look" default binding is removed from the right mouse button first.
MOUSEWHEEL By default is bound to the "+camdistadjust" command, but can be used for other commands (e.g. target_enemy_next).
WHEELPLUS MOUSEWHEEL_FORWARD = secondary name. Commands on MOUSEWHEEL and WHEELPLUS will activate at the same time.
WHEELMINUS MOUSEWHEEL_BACKWARD = secondary name. Commands on MOUSEWHEEL and WHEELMINUS will activate at the same time.
